Charles Jourdain delivered the sharpest result of the night. One Sharp Edge on the card, 2.00u on the line, and he went out and won a clean unanimous decision. +1.48u. That is the whole point of this model.

Soft Edge went 3-1-1. Croden, Saricam, and Jasudavicius all cashed. The Siraj loss was a brutal first-round KO finish that ended that one fast. The Castaneda draw was a push and a story of its own.

Malott won the main event by KO in round three. The model backed him on direction but the odds were not offering enough value to stake, so we sat it out. Right call on the outcome.

The UFC returns to Winnipeg for the first time since December 2017, and the card that’s walking into Canada Life Centre this Saturday is genuinely different from the one that left eight years ago. Nine Canadians on the lineup. Three making their Octagon debut. A Canadian-born headliner, just the third in UFC history to headline a card on home soil.

Analytically, this is a card with unusual distribution. Five fights carry extreme model conviction. A handful sit in honest toss-up territory. And the main event, for all its noise about one fighter being written off and another being crowned, has a much more textured path than the line suggests.

Here’s the full read, bout by bout.

Fight 1, Jamie Siraj vs. John Yannis (Bantamweight)

The opener is a short-notice affair on both sides, with Jamie Siraj stepping in to make his UFC debut against John Yannis. Siraj brings 14 pro wins with 11 finishes and a submission-heavy game built on forward pressure and chain-wrestling. Yannis lost his UFC debut to Austin Bashi via rear-naked choke in the first round, and that’s the template that matters here. Yannis’s defensive grappling was exposed badly in that fight, and Siraj is walking in with the exact toolset to exploit it.

The one real unknown: Siraj is cutting to 135 for the first time in roughly eight years. Weight cuts of that scale at the UFC level are genuine X-factors, and the weigh-in result is the number to watch.

Fight 2, John Castaneda vs. Mark Vologdin (Bantamweight)

One of the genuine toss-ups of the card. John Castaneda is the veteran, 21-8 pro, 4-4 in the UFC, a volume striker with a six-inch reach advantage and the cardio to push three rounds. Mark Vologdin makes his UFC debut after a decision loss to Luna Martinetti on the Contender Series, a fight widely called one of the best in DWCS history despite the result.

The tactical wrinkle: Vologdin absorbed over eleven significant strikes per minute in that DWCS fight and still stood in the pocket swinging. His striking defense is a real concern, but his durability and output are legitimate. Castaneda’s path is experience, reach, and a steadier pace over fifteen minutes. Vologdin’s path is chaos.

The model takes Castaneda. Fight of the Night is on the table.

Fight 3, JJ Aldrich vs. Jamey-Lyn Horth (Women’s Flyweight)

Jamey-Lyn Horth is trending up. Back-to-back wins capped by her first UFC finish, a TKO of Tereza Bledá in December 2025. She’s a BJJ black belt training out of Niagara Top Team, and she’s described by teammates and coaches alike as having grown into her physicality. She’s taller, stronger, and operates from the clinch with real intent.

JJ Aldrich is the veteran, 14-7 pro, 10-6 in the UFC, ranked at flyweight. But her losses follow a pattern. Blanchfield submitted her off a guillotine. Hardy outworked her on the cards. Barber finished her with strikes. The common thread is physicality and pressure, both of which Horth brings in abundance.

The model takes Horth. Momentum, size, and a stylistic mismatch that favors the Canadian.

Fight 4, Melissa Croden vs. Daria Zhelezniakova (Women’s Bantamweight)

Melissa Croden is the grinder. Third UFC start in seven months, heavy clinch pressure, wrestling-forward at 5’9”, a physical profile that plays well at bantamweight. Daria Zhelezniakova is a sharp kickboxer with 2-1 in the UFC, but her loss came by first-round arm-triangle submission to Ailin Perez. The moment the fight hit the mat, it was over.

Croden’s game is exactly what Zhelezniakova struggles with. If this stays standing, Zhelezniakova can outpoint her. But Croden’s forward pressure and clinch game make “staying standing” a difficult proposition across fifteen minutes.

The model takes Croden. The fight is won in the clinch, and that favors Croden.

Fight 5, Tanner Boser vs. Gokhan Saricam (Heavyweight)

Tanner Boser returns to the UFC after a two-year absence, one regional fight in UAE Warriors, and a career reset. He’s the Canadian with homecoming energy, and his striking numbers (SLpM 4.70, SApM 2.75) remain respectable. But takedown defense at 63% and a long layoff against a wrestler with finishing upside is a difficult matchup.

Gokhan Saricam comes in on three straight wins, two by first-round stoppage, with a kickboxing base and a developed wrestling game from his Bellator run. If he closes distance and gets Boser to the mat, the gatekeeper shift finishes the job.

Boser’s path is real. Outland Saricam on the feet and use his mobility to stay off the cage. The crowd will be behind him.

The model takes Saricam. Wrestling is the separator.

Fight 6, Julien Leblanc vs. Robert Valentin (Middleweight)

One of the most honest toss-ups on the card, and a fight where the analytical case cuts both ways. Julien Leblanc is the Canadian debutant, 34 years old, five-fight win streak, three straight finishes, Samourai MMA middleweight champion, training alongside Marc-André Barriault out of Kill Cliff FC. His narrative is a decade of setbacks finally paying off with a UFC contract.

Robert Valentin is the other side of the ledger, 0-3 in the UFC, a TUF 32 finalist who hasn’t been able to translate that run into an Octagon win. Tall, rangy, submission threat, but exposed against wrestlers.

Valentin has the UFC-level tape. Leblanc has the regional momentum and home crowd.

The model takes Valentin by the thinnest margin.

Fight 7, Dennis Buzukja vs. Marcio Barbosa (Featherweight)

Marcio Barbosa is a first-round finisher. 16 of his 17 career wins have come in round one, fourteen of them by KO or TKO. He’s 27, fresh off a Contender Series finish of Damon Wilson, and he walks in throwing short, violent combinations at extreme volume.

Dennis Buzukja is returning from an eighteen-month layoff that included a nine-month suspension from a backstage fan altercation at UFC 310. His statistical profile shows him absorbing more than he lands, and his lone UFC stoppage loss came on a short hook, the exact punch Barbosa throws as his primary weapon.

But here’s the reason to pump the brakes. Barbosa’s entire UFC-captured statistical profile is built on one fight, his DWCS appearance against Damon Wilson. That’s a small sample to build an 8.27 significant strikes per minute read on, and it’s an even smaller sample to assume he can replicate that output against an Octagon veteran. Buzukja has 75% takedown defense, UFC reps, and the kind of pace that tends to drag explosive first-round finishers into uncomfortable second and third rounds.

If Buzukja weathers the first five minutes, the later rounds start tilting his direction. That’s the live underdog case.

The model takes Barbosa, with Buzukja as the live underdog if he survives the first round.

Fight 8, Thiago Moisés vs. Gauge Young (Lightweight)

The model leans Young on pace and volume. Moisés absorbs over four strikes a minute and Young lands nearly six. Moisés is the veteran, 31 years old, with seven career submission wins and a history of calf-kick-heavy gameplans. But his last outing ended in a first-round knockout loss to Jared Gordon, and his striking absorption numbers have gotten worse over time.

Young is 25, coming off a unanimous decision win over Maheshate at UFC Shanghai, and his 71% UFC takedown defense neutralizes Moisés’s reactive wrestling. The tactical question is whether Young’s chin holds up to Moisés’s power. He’s been hit clean by every UFC opponent so far and kept coming.

The model takes Young.

Fight 9, Jasmine Jasudavicius (#7) vs. Karine Silva (#9) (Women’s Flyweight)

The cleanest stylistic mismatch on the card. Karine Silva is a submission finisher, 17 stoppages in 19 career wins, 1.5 submission attempts per fifteen minutes, a BJJ black belt with heel hooks, guillotines, and D’Arce chokes in her history. Her problem is that she needs the fight on the mat in her favor to win, and her takedown defense sits at 21%.

Jasmine Jasudavicius is the grinding wrestler with 75% takedown defense, strong top control, and the kind of active ground-and-pound that turns dominant position into damage. She’s coming off the first stoppage loss of her career, a Manon Fiorot KO in October 2025, and took a deliberate six-month layoff to reset. She’s a Canadian fighting in Canada, sharing a gym with the main event headliner.

Silva’s path is a first-round submission off a scramble. If that window closes, Jasudavicius controls the remaining ten minutes.

The model takes Jasudavicius with real conviction.

Fight 10, Mandel Nallo vs. Jai Herbert (Lightweight)

Mandel Nallo’s UFC debut is one of the compelling stories of the card. Thirty-six years old, a Vancouver native now training at Tristar Gym under Firas Zahabi, he’s the oldest fighter ever to earn a Dana White’s Contender Series contract. His record is 14-3 with a no-contest, his last five wins are all first-round finishes, and his career finish rate is 100%.

Jai Herbert is the UFC veteran stopgap. 3-5-1 in the Octagon, thirteen months since his last fight (a split-decision loss to Chris Padilla), and a reach-and-range striker with a history of getting finished when pressured. Nallo’s best performances have come against strikers who let him get inside. His worst have come against wrestlers who took him down. Herbert is not a wrestler.

The model takes Nallo. A UFC debut under the brightest lights of his career is the only variable worth flagging.

Fight 11, Kyler Phillips vs. Charles Jourdain (Co-Main Event, Bantamweight)

The co-main is the clearest read on the card.

Charles Jourdain is a different fighter at his natural bantamweight. Two fights at 135, two first-round guillotine finishes, one over Victor Henry (a fighter who had never been finished prior) and the next over Davey Grant. That’s four career wins by guillotine in total, alongside Lando Vannata and Ricardo Ramos earlier in his career. The pattern is not a coincidence. It’s a specialty.

Kyler Phillips walks in on a two-fight losing streak after decision losses to Rob Font and Vinicius Oliveira. His 75% takedown defense is real. Jourdain isn’t going to put him on his back. But Phillips’s own wrestling is the problem here. Jourdain’s takedown defense sits at 47%, which means Phillips can score takedowns, but every sloppy level change against a guillotine specialist is a live trap.

Add the rest. Jourdain has 5.48 significant strikes per minute to Phillips’s 5.04. He’s been more active recently, more confident, and publicly stated he’d be the first fighter to finish Phillips. Phillips has never been finished across sixteen pro fights, but Jourdain’s momentum, pace, and finishing pattern fit this matchup tightly.

The model takes Jourdain.

Fight 12, Gilbert Burns vs. Mike Malott (Main Event, Welterweight, 5 rounds)

The model lands on Mike Malott, and the case is genuine, but it is not the closed book the market treats it as.

Malott’s case is straightforward. He’s eight years younger at 34, he’s sharper on the feet, his differential is positive (3.93 significant strikes landed per minute against 3.06 absorbed), and he’s never been knocked down in the UFC. He’s fighting in Canada for the sixth straight time, fighting under his own home-gym roof, and stepping into his first UFC main event with the analytical profile of a fighter who’s earned it.

Gilbert Burns’s case is harder. He walks in on a four-fight skid, all against elite competition (Morales, Brady, Della Maddalena, Muhammad) but a skid nonetheless. He has ten knockdowns absorbed across his UFC career. His last fight was a first-round TKO loss to Michael Morales eleven months ago, and questions about his chin at 39 are fair.

Here’s the honest counter. Malott’s takedown defense sits at 14%. His one UFC loss came when Neil Magny took him down four times on four attempts and finished him in round three of a fight he was winning. Burns is a four-time World Jiu-Jitsu champion with nine career submission wins. He has never been submitted across twenty-two pro fights. And Malott has never fought past the third round in the UFC. A 25-minute championship round cardio test is genuinely untested territory.

Burns’s path exists. It requires surviving the striking phase early, dragging Malott into deep water, and either winning late rounds on cards or finding a finish on the mat. It’s a narrower path than the 9-1 pro record of Malott suggests, but it’s real.

The model takes Malott. His path is sharper striking, youth, and solid cardio that Burns no longer has. If Burns wins, it’s through his grappling, not his chin.

Closing Read

This card has depth in unexpected places. The co-main carries the clearest read of the night. The main event is genuinely more textured than the market treats it. The prelims have a genuine sleeper angle in Buzukja, and the Canadian debut wave, Nallo, Leblanc, Siraj, means three storylines worth following regardless of outcomes.

UFC 327 lands in Miami with something genuinely rare on the line: a vacant light heavyweight title and no clear favorite to claim it. Alex Pereira vacated the belt to pursue heavyweight gold. Magomed Ankalaev is sidelined. The UFC has turned to Jiri Prochazka — the man who never lost the championship in competition — and Carlos Ulberg, riding the division’s longest active win streak, to settle it. Beyond the main event, this is a card with real analytical depth from top to bottom. Several fights carry genuine finish potential, a few carry legitimate upset signals, and at least one carries something rarer than either — a retirement story worth watching regardless of how the numbers fall.

Here is where the model lands across all twelve fights.

CHARLES RADTKE vs. FRANCISCO PRADO Welterweight | Early Prelims

Prado is a 23-year-old brawler with an iron chin and genuine power, but his three-fight UFC losing streak has exposed a consistent problem: he cannot handle the size and reach of natural welterweights, and his defensive wrestling leaves him vulnerable to grapplers who want to control him. Radtke brings both of those problems to the table. He carries a BJJ black belt, a physical wrestling game, and the fight IQ to abandon the brawl when the brawl is not working — as he demonstrated with his third-round rear naked choke over Daniel Frunza. Prado’s durability will likely push this into the later rounds, but the model sees Radtke’s pressure and chain wrestling wearing him down.

The model’s pick is Radtke.

KELVIN GASTELUM vs. VICENTE LUQUE Middleweight | Early Prelims

This fight carries a significant asterisk: Luque is moving up from welterweight to middleweight, and the analytical implications cut both ways. Avoiding a brutal weight cut may marginally help his durability, but he will be the naturally smaller man absorbing shots from a fighter with Gastelum’s hand speed and physical thickness. The durability concerns around Luque are well-documented — he has looked hesitant and gun-shy under pressure in recent losses, and his front choke submission game, while genuinely dangerous, requires him to survive long enough to deploy it. Gastelum has never been knocked out in his career despite fighting elite competition, and his southpaw left hand down the pipe remains a legitimate weapon. The conditioning questions around Gastelum are noted, but the analytical case points clearly in his direction here. A stoppage is not out of the question if Luque’s durability breaks down under sustained pressure.

The model’s pick is Gastelum.

CHRIS PADILLA vs. MARQUEL MEDEROS Lightweight | Prelims

Padilla is one of the more analytically compelling fighters on this card. His performance against Ismael Bonfim — absorbing big shots without retreating, grinding forward, and finishing with ground and pound and a knee to the body in round two — revealed a fighter with genuine toughness and the pressure game to break athletic opponents who are not used to being tested. Mederos is fast, smooth, and effective at range with his calf-kicking game and lateral movement, but his recent fights have exposed a recurring grappling vulnerability: he gives up his back when scrambling to his feet, and he has been controlled by wrestlers at this level before. Padilla’s Muay Thai guard, clinch weapons, and offensive grappling create a structural problem Mederos has not yet solved. The model is as confident here as anywhere on the card. A finish in the later rounds via rear naked choke or ground and pound is a realistic outcome.

TATIANA SUAREZ vs. LOOPY GODINEZ Women’s Strawweight | Prelims

Suarez’s road back has not been seamless. Her title fight loss to Zhang Weili exposed real questions about her explosiveness and takedown efficiency post-injury, and even her win over Amanda Lemos saw her tire in the third round and struggle to convert takedown attempts at the rate she once did. Those are legitimate concerns for a fighter whose entire game is built on physical dominance. Godinez, however, has a well-documented pattern of losing to elite grapplers — Mackenzie Dern and Virna Jandiroba both controlled her on the mat — and Suarez, even at a reduced level, remains the more physically imposing wrestler in this matchup. The model sees Suarez grinding out a decision, though the days of explosive early submissions may be behind her.

The model’s pick is Suarez.

MATEUSZ GAMROT vs. ESTEBAN RIBOVICS Lightweight | Prelims

This is a classic striker versus wrestler matchup with a clear analytical spine. Gamrot averages over five takedowns per fifteen minutes and has the chain wrestling to keep opponents pinned against the cage for extended stretches. Ribovics is a high-volume brawler with the cardio to maintain a blistering pace deep into a fight. The key question is whether Ribovics can keep the fight standing long enough for his striking volume to matter. His recent performance stuffing fourteen of fifteen takedown attempts against Elves Brener is encouraging, but his fight against Loik Radzhabov tells a different story: eleven takedowns conceded on twenty-one attempts against a truly persistent chain wrestler. Gamrot is that level of persistent. Ribovics’ chin is a genuine threat if he lands clean combinations on a fighter who has been dropped before, but the model sees Gamrot’s wrestling as the dominant force across fifteen minutes.

The model’s pick is Gamrot.

RANDY BROWN vs. KEVIN HOLLAND Welterweight | Prelims

Two 6’3” welterweights with matching reach and matching inconsistency. Brown is the cleaner, more technical outside fighter — his jab and distance management allow him to win rounds without absorbing punishment. Holland is the chaos agent, capable of looking elite and completely disinterested in the same fight. Brown’s durability has been flagged repeatedly, and his knockout loss to Gabriel Bonfim confirmed that a clean shot from a powerful fighter can end his night early. Holland’s grappling is underrated and his opportunistic front chokes are a legitimate finish threat. This is a genuinely close matchup, and the model’s lean toward Brown reflects his structural edge in clean outside boxing rather than any overwhelming analytical dominance.

The model’s pick is Brown.

PATRICIO PITBULL vs. AARON PICO Featherweight | Prelims

Pico is the obvious analytical favorite here on paper: younger, more explosive, elite wrestling credentials, and heavy hands. His UFC debut against Lerone Murphy confirmed he can be stopped, however, and Pitbull is precisely the kind of composed veteran counter-striker who can make Pico pay for reckless forward pressure. Pitbull’s guillotine choke is a genuine threat if Pico shoots desperately, and his timing on the counter right hand has finished fights at the highest level. The model does not bet this fight at the current price, which reflects how live the upset potential is. Pico’s clearest route to victory runs through his wrestling — use it to neutralize Pitbull’s striking and grind out a decision or TKO. Pitbull’s window is narrower but genuine — patience, composure, and one well-timed shot.

The model’s pick is Pico.

CUB SWANSON vs. NATE LANDWEHR Featherweight | Main Card

Cub Swanson has announced this is his last fight. At 42 years old, with a career stretching back to the WEC, he steps into the octagon against the kind of opponent who has ended careers: a relentless, high-volume brawler who will absorb damage to close distance and make the night miserable. Landwehr is dangerous in exactly the way that tests aging fighters. He does not give you clean, comfortable exchanges. He smothers and grinds and pressures until something breaks.

What the data says is this: something has been breaking in Landwehr’s own chin. Back-to-back third-round knockout losses against Morgan Charriere and Doo Ho Choi suggest his durability under sustained pressure is deteriorating. Swanson’s counter-boxing, timing, and stopping power remain intact as recently as his third-round finish of Billy Quarantillo. The model sees Swanson’s technical precision eventually finding the opening Landwehr’s aggression creates. A finish in the later rounds is the most analytically supported outcome. The model is as confident here as anywhere on this card.

The model’s pick is Swanson.

DOMINICK REYES vs. JOHNNY WALKER Light Heavyweight | Main Card

There is very little analytical certainty available in this fight, and the model reflects that. Both men carry genuine knockout power and genuinely fragile chins. Reyes is the cleaner technical boxer with a strong straight left hand and counter-striking instincts. Walker is the bigger, more physically explosive fighter with finishing power in either hand and the unpredictability that makes him dangerous from any position. Reyes was frozen and timid in his first-round loss to Ulberg, and the adjustment required is real. Walker’s recent win over Zhang Mingyang showed a slightly more measured approach, using calf kicks to break down his opponent before finding the finish.

This fight is unlikely to see the second round. The model lands on Reyes, but the margin is thin and the chaos factor is about as high as it gets on this card.

CURTIS BLAYDES vs. JOSH HOKIT Heavyweight | Main Card

Hokit is genuinely intriguing. An undefeated two-time Division 1 All-American wrestler with fast hands and a relentless pace, he presents a legitimate athletic challenge even for a fighter with Blaydes’ credentials. The analytical concerns around Blaydes are real: a torn MCL in his last fight, consecutive knockout losses to elite heavyweights, and a declining speed that has made his wrestling less automatic. Costa’s move to light heavyweight avoids a brutal weight cut that may have been affecting his conditioning, and he is actually the taller man in the cage at 6’1” against Murzakanov’s compact 5’10” frame. The iron chin and high volume that define Costa’s best performances are genuine assets.

The concern is how that chin holds up against true light heavyweight power for the first time. Costa has been finished by strikes only once in his career, but Murzakanov’s power operates at a different register than anything he has previously absorbed at middleweight. Costa’s most viable route runs through volume, body kicks, and surviving the early rounds to wear Murzakanov down — a fighter who has shown he can fade in extended fights. The model leans toward Murzakanov, acknowledging this is one of the more genuinely contested fights on the card.

JIRI PROCHAZKA vs. CARLOS ULBERG Light Heavyweight Championship | Main Event | 5 Rounds

The light heavyweight title is vacant. Pereira is gone. Ankalaev is sidelined. What remains is the man who won the belt and never lost it in competition, and the fighter who has quietly built the division’s longest active win streak without anyone paying close enough attention.

Ulberg deserves genuine analytical respect. His first-round dismantling of Dominick Reyes was not a lucky punch. It was a composed, technical performance that showed how far he has developed since his debut loss to Kennedy Nzechukwu. He manages distance expertly, punishes overextension with his check left hook, and his strike absorption rate has dropped dramatically as his career has progressed. The case for an early Ulberg victory is analytically coherent: hunt Prochazka’s lead leg, manage range, and catch him lunging in the first or second round.

Prochazka’s entire career, however, has been built in the space where that plan falls apart. He absorbs damage without going out. He builds pressure relentlessly. He gets more dangerous, not less, as fights deteriorate into chaos in the championship rounds. His finish rate borders on absurd. He has never seen a UFC judges’ scorecard. Against Khalil Rountree, he lost the first two rounds convincingly before walking through damage to secure a third-round finish. That is not an anomaly. It is the pattern.

Ulberg has never been in a five-round fight. Championship rounds are uncharted territory. Prochazka lives there.

The model sees Prochazka getting his title back tonight. A finish in the championship rounds is the most analytically supported outcome.

Hope arrives on short notice for his UFC debut at 11-1 with genuine knockout power and explosive athleticism. His collegiate wrestling background adds a dimension Kamaka has historically struggled to neutralize. The raw skill level is untested at this tier but the physical tools are real and the model sees enough upside to give him the edge.

WOMEN’S FLYWEIGHT -- PRELIMS Dione Barbosa vs. Melissa Gatto

Barbosa is the model’s pick. LIGHTWEIGHT -- PRELIMS Lando Vannata vs. Darrius Flowers

Vannata returns after a three-year absence and the model is on the comeback. The skill gap between these two is real -- Vannata is the more technical striker with a 4.52 significant strikes per minute output and a career finish rate of 75%. Flowers is 0-3 in the UFC and has not recorded a win since August 2022.

The honest question is what three years away does to a striker. Strikers in particular can show sharper drop-offs after extended layoffs than grapplers -- timing, reflexes, and hand speed are harder to preserve outside of live competition than wrestling or submission skills. Vannata has acknowledged the layoff openly and appears to have approached this camp seriously, training with Cub Swanson’s Bloodlines team in Orange County. The model backs him but the ring rust caveat is real.

FLYWEIGHT -- PRELIMS Alessandro Costa vs. Stewart Nicoll

HEAVYWEIGHT -- PRELIMS Guilherme Pat vs. Thomas Petersen

This is quietly one of the card’s most interesting model calls. Pat at even money is where the model sees genuine value -- a signal strong enough that both components of the model agree.

Pat is 6-0 and built on a karate foundation that he has cited Lyoto Machida as a natural reference for. At 6’6” with an 81-inch reach he carries extraordinary physical tools for the division and his debut decision win over Allen Frye in December 2025 showed a striker who could manage distance and impose his game plan. His camp specifically highlighted wrestling defense as a focus for this fight -- directly addressing the most credible threat Petersen brings.

Petersen is a two-time Minnesota state wrestling champion with a legitimate grappling base, but his UFC career tells the story of a fighter who has twice been stopped violently by power strikers. Shamil Gaziev knocked him out with a single right hand in round one at UFC Saudi Arabia in February 2025. Vitor Petrino finished him in round three in Rio in October 2025. The pattern is consistent -- when Petersen’s wrestling does not keep the fight controlled, his chin becomes a liability against fighters who carry real power. Pat carries real power. The model’s assessment is that Pat’s length, karate-based distance management, and finishing ability give him a structural edge at a price the market has not fully accounted for.

FEATHERWEIGHT -- MAIN CARD Jose Delano vs. Robert Ruchala

One of the model’s stronger calls on the main card. Ruchala brought solid European credentials to the UFC but his debut against ranked featherweight William Gomis in Paris exposed leaky striking defense and offensive patterns that more precise fighters can time and punish. Delano is precisely that type of fighter.

FEATHERWEIGHT -- MAIN CARD Tommy McMillen vs. Manolo Zecchini

McMillen arrives undefeated at 9-0, training under Tim Welch alongside Sean O’Malley at Red Hawk Academy. The rangy striking style and guillotine and D’Arce submission threats make him a multi-dimensional prospect. Zecchini has been inactive since September 2023 and his sole UFC appearance ended in a first-round body kick stoppage. The model expects McMillen to keep his record clean.

BANTAMWEIGHT -- MAIN CARD Rafael Estevam vs. Ethyn Ewing

This is the card’s most genuinely competitive main card fight and the model treats it accordingly -- a slim lean to Estevam rather than a confident call.

Estevam is 14-0 and one of the more prolific wrestlers in the UFC’s lower weight classes, averaging six takedowns per fifteen minutes at 60% accuracy across three UFC fights. The analytical question heading into Saturday is what moving up from flyweight to bantamweight does to his game. LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT -- MAIN CARD Abdul-Rakhman Yakhyaev vs. Brendson Ribeiro

There is not much analysis required here and that is by design. Yakhyaev is 8-0 with an average fight time of 32 seconds across his two UFC and Contender Series appearances. His UFC debut lasted 33 seconds -- a rear naked choke submission over Raffael Cerqueira that stands as one of the fastest finishes in light heavyweight history. He is 25 years old, born in Chechnya, and the UFC is carefully managing his ascent.

Ribeiro has been finished five times in his career and his striking defense at 53% gives Yakhyaev a clear path. The model sees another early finish. Get to your seat.

WOMEN’S STRAWWEIGHT -- CO-MAIN EVENT Virna Jandiroba vs. Tabatha Ricci

This is a title contention fight in everything but name. Jandiroba is ranked third in the division after challenging Mackenzie Dern for the vacant strawweight title at UFC 321 last October, losing a competitive unanimous decision over five rounds. Ricci is ranked seventh and coming off a TKO win over Amanda Ribas. A win here for either fighter puts them directly in the championship queue.

The model gives Jandiroba the edge. She is the more established grappler -- a BJJ world champion at black belt with 1.5 submission attempts per fifteen minutes and a career built on suffocating top control. Ricci’s 78% takedown defense makes her a difficult matchup on the mat and she is the more active striker at 4.18 significant strikes per minute, but Jandiroba’s positional dominance and experience at the highest level of the division are the deciding factors in the model’s assessment.

The honest counter: Jandiroba is nearly 38 years old. At that age, against a faster and more dynamic younger fighter in Ricci, the physical edge she has historically carried begins to narrow. If Ricci can keep the fight moving through scrambles and deny Jandiroba sustained top control, the youth and energy advantage could prove decisive. The model acknowledges the uncertainty here. This is not a dominant call -- it is a slim lean based on pedigree and grappling depth.

LIGHTWEIGHT -- MAIN EVENT Renato Moicano vs. Chris Duncan

The case for Moicano writes itself. He is a BJJ black belt with ten career submission wins, a former title challenger who pushed Islam Makhachev in a short-notice bout at UFC 311, and one of the most tactically intelligent fighters in the lightweight division. Against a forward-pressure striker like Duncan, the conventional read is that Moicano times him, drags the fight to the mat, and submits him somewhere in the middle rounds.

The model is not buying it.

Moicano is 36 and on a two-fight skid. His loss to Makhachev was understandable -- he stepped in on short notice against the pound-for-pound king. The loss to Beneil Dariush at UFC 317 in June 2025 is harder to explain away. Dariush out-wrestled and out-controlled him across three rounds, exposing a takedown defense that sits at 62%. That is the number the model keeps coming back to, because Duncan is not just a brawler -- he averages over three takedown attempts per fifteen minutes and has finished three of his last four fights by submission. He has a guillotine choke that he has landed twice in his current win streak and the wrestling to create those entries.

Duncan’s own defensive numbers raise questions. He absorbs 4.82 significant strikes per minute, a figure that reflects his aggressive forward pressure style and willingness to walk through fire to close distance. Moicano’s 59% striking defense means he is not going to simply get overwhelmed on the feet. The counter-finish is a live possibility throughout. But the model’s assessment is that Duncan’s multi-dimensional finishing ability and Moicano’s documented wrestling vulnerability tip the balance.

There is one more wrinkle worth noting. Both men train at American Top Team in South Florida. Their coaches know exactly how each fighter moves, sets up submissions, and responds to pressure. That context cuts both ways, but it does mean neither man is walking in blind on Saturday night.

Prop betting is not moneyline betting. That distinction matters more than anything else on this page.

The signals below are the output of a multi-stream analytical model combining win probability, pundit consensus, and historical fighter data. They represent what we believe are identified pricing inefficiencies, not guarantees. Prop markets are thinner, less liquid, and more volatile than moneylines — lines move faster, limits are lower, and variance is higher across the board. A signal that looks clean on paper can lose for reasons that have nothing to do with the analysis being wrong.

If you choose to act on any signal here, sizing discipline is the single most important variable you control.

A few principles worth keeping in mind: Value Signal props at shorter odds, things like a -160 or -115 line, carry lower variance by nature and can be sized closer to your normal unit. The edge can be higher or lower in absolute terms but the outcome distribution is tighter, meaning it’s implied probability of outcome is higher.

Value Signal props at longer odds, anything in the +120 to +210 range on this card, carry more variance even at the Value Signal tier. These should be sized at a fraction of a standard unit, not treated as equivalent to a moneyline play.

Speculative props are a different category entirely. The +270, +850, and +1400 signals on this card exist because the price compensates for genuine uncertainty and there is perceived value that justifies the variance. At +850 the implied probability is roughly 10%. Even with a meaningful analytical edge, you will lose this bet the large majority of the time. If you are sizing a +850 prop anywhere near what you would put on a standard moneyline, you are sizing incorrectly. These are small-unit, high-upside plays. A reasonable starting point for speculative props is 25 to 50 percent of whatever you would consider a normal unit, and for the longest odds plays, smaller still.

Correlation also affects sizing. Several props on this card share the same underlying outcome. Chiesa Under 1.5 and Chiesa Round 1 are not two independent signals — they are the same fight path expressed twice. Treating them as separate bets and sizing each at full value doubles your exposure to a single outcome. The correlation flags on the card exist precisely for this reason.

The model is a tool. Use it like one.

Seattle also matters contextually in a way that most venues do not. The Climate Pledge Arena is a full-size octagon, not the Apex. That distinction is worth more than it sounds, and we will return to it in the main event section.

Five Washington state fighters are on this card. Michael Chiesa is making his last walk in his home state. Terrance McKinney, who Chiesa coached in high school in Spokane, opens the same show. Chase Hooper is fighting in Washington for the first time in his UFC career. Ricky Simon knocked someone out in this exact building last February. Lance Gibson Jr. was born in Seattle. This is not just a fight card. It is a homecoming for a significant portion of the roster.

ISRAEL ADESANYA vs. JOE PYFER

Middleweight | Main Event | 5 x 5

The public narrative on this fight is straightforward. Adesanya is 36, on a three-fight losing skid for the first time in his career, coming off a knockout loss and a 13-month layoff. Pyfer is 29, on a three-fight win streak, riding momentum, and hitting harder than almost anyone in the middleweight division. The narrative says the torch is being passed.

The analytical picture is more complicated.

Start with what the numbers actually say about Adesanya. He averages 4.02 significant strikes landed per minute with a 55-56% striking defense. His striking differential sits at plus 0.82. Those are not the numbers of a fighter in terminal decline. They are the numbers of a technically elite counter-striker who has been beaten by the three best middleweights of his era — Strickland, Du Plessis, and Imavov — in succession. Context matters enormously here.

The Imavov loss, the most recent and the most damaging to public perception, is worth examining carefully. Before the finish, Adesanya was winning the first round by 15 significant strikes. His technical game, his distance management, his fight IQ — all of it was functioning at championship level. What ended the fight was a specific defensive habit that has become his primary vulnerability: when threatened by a faked takedown or a lead hook, Adesanya extends his hands outward to parry, leaving his chin exposed to overhands and uppercuts. Imavov timed that habit perfectly. So did Strickland and Du Plessis before him. The question for Seattle is whether City Kickboxing has found a counter to that pattern, and whether the 13-month layoff has sharpened or dulled his reaction speed.

Now consider Pyfer. His profile is deceptively simple on the surface. He hits extraordinarily hard, finishes fights at an 87% career rate, and has seven first-round stoppages in 15 wins. His UFC run has been built on explosive early-round performances. But there is one data point that complicates the narrative of inevitability around him: the Hermansson fight. In his only five-round UFC bout, Pyfer was outlanded 86 to 46 in the final three rounds. He won the early rounds convincingly, then faded badly as the fight went long. That cardio cliff is not a rumor. It is on film.

The analytical case for Adesanya runs through that cardio cliff and through the venue. The full-size Seattle octagon is the most underappreciated factor in this matchup. Adesanya’s entire game is built on space and angles. The Apex format compresses his movement and rewards aggressors who can cut off the cage quickly. Seattle gives him the canvas his style requires. Pyfer needs to close distance, cut off angles, and convert early. In a full-size octagon against a fighter with an 80-inch reach who is five inches longer, that task becomes considerably harder.

The model picks Adesanya. The analytical path is decision, or a late stoppage if Pyfer’s cardio fails in the championship rounds as it did against Hermansson. The danger zone is rounds one and two. If Pyfer cannot convert early against a fighter who was winning the first round against Imavov before the finish, the structural case points toward the former champion as the fight deepens.

This is not a lock. The Emp model sits barely above a coin flip on this fight, reflecting genuine analytical uncertainty. The rust concern is real and unquantifiable. The chin question is legitimate. But the pick is Adesanya, and the case for it is grounded in data rather than sentiment.

ALEXA GRASSO vs. MAYCEE BARBER

Women’s Flyweight | Co-Main | 3 x 5

Five years is a long time in a fighter’s career. When these two last met at UFC 258 in February 2021, Barber was 22 years old, coming off a torn ACL, and cutting from strawweight. She landed 18 of 119 significant strikes that night, a 15% accuracy rate that tells you everything about how effectively Grasso neutralized her. Grasso won clearly and the result felt decisive.

Neither fighter is that version of themselves anymore.

Barber has been on a seven-fight win streak since that loss, and the evolution has been genuine rather than cosmetic. She now averages 4.61 significant strikes per minute, carries real offensive wrestling at 1.58 takedowns per 15 minutes, and has developed a brutal clinch game built around elbows and forward pressure. She has also grown physically into the flyweight division in a way she simply had not in 2021. Her assessment of that first fight is revealing: she believes the fighter who dominated round three that night represents her true level, and that the first two rounds reflected her depleted physical state.

Grasso’s trajectory has moved in the opposite direction. The former champion is on a three-fight winless skid — two losses and a draw — against the absolute elite of the flyweight division. Her loss to Natalia Silva at UFC 315 exposed a specific vulnerability: dynamic speed and lateral movement gave her fits. Silva’s in-and-out footwork did not allow Grasso to find a rhythm with her flat-footed, boxing-heavy approach. That is a relevant data point because it suggests Grasso’s current form is not purely a question of competition level. There are stylistic problems that persist.

The analytical read leans toward Barber. Her wrestling gives her a structural path that bypasses Grasso’s strongest weapon, her striking defense and counter-punching. Grasso’s 54% takedown defense is not a strong number against a fighter who has added genuine offensive wrestling to her game. The counter-threat is Grasso’s submission game off her back — she threatened armbars and triangles in the first fight and her BJJ is legitimate. If Barber gets sloppy with top control, Grasso can threaten from the bottom.

The honest analytical position on this fight is that the direction leans Barber but the uncertainty is genuine enough that no strong conviction is warranted. This is one to watch rather than one to lean on analytically. The rematch dynamics in women’s MMA are genuinely hard to price — the adjustment variable cuts both ways and Grasso has beaten Barber before.

MANSUR ABDUL-MALIK vs. YOUSRI BELGAROUI

Middleweight | Main Card | 3 x 5

This is the analytically most interesting fight on the main card outside the top two bouts, and it is worth giving it the space that the signal demands.

Yousri Belgaroui is unlike most fighters the UFC signs at middleweight. He is 6’6” with a 79-inch reach, a former three-time Glory Kickboxing Middleweight title challenger who has shared the ring with both Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira in kickboxing. He has never been finished in MMA. All three of his losses came by decision. He recently relocated to Connecticut to train with Pereira and Glover Teixeira at Teixeira MMA, and according to pre-fight reporting his camp has specifically prepared for the wrestling threat Abdul-Malik brings — using his frame to defend takedowns against the cage, employing two-on-one wrist control, and landing slicing elbows in the clinch.

Abdul-Malik is a legitimate threat. He is 9-0-1, holds seven knockout wins, and carries Division I wrestling credentials that make his takedown game genuinely dangerous. He finished Antonio Trocoli in 69 seconds most recently, which demonstrates real finishing ability. The flags in his profile are specific rather than general: in recent fights against Cody Brundage and Nick Klein he was out-landed at distance when opponents were willing to engage at range, suggesting his striking urgency and output at distance do not match his athleticism and power.

That flag is the analytical foundation of the Belgaroui case. A 6’6” kickboxer with elite technical credentials who lands at high volume at range is a structurally difficult matchup for a fighter whose distance striking has shown vulnerability. The reach and height advantages compound the problem. Abdul-Malik must close distance to use his wrestling or his power, and Belgaroui’s front kick and jab are designed to prevent exactly that entry.

The risk in this pick is real and worth acknowledging. If Abdul-Malik gets the fight to the mat, his ground-and-pound threat is serious against a kickboxer whose primary game is at range. Belgaroui will need his improved takedown defense to hold up under pressure from a dedicated wrestler. The camp preparation specifically for this scenario adds credibility to his readiness, but takedown defense in the gym and takedown defense against an explosive Division I wrestler in the Octagon are different propositions.

The model picks Belgaroui. Both models agree on the direction. At plus money. The analytical case is among the cleanest on this card.

TERRANCE McKINNEY vs. KYLE NELSON

Lightweight | Main Card | 3 x 5

There is one analytical fact about Terrance McKinney that makes everything else in this fight secondary: he has never once gone to a decision in 25 professional fights. Every single one has ended in a finish, wins and losses alike. His average UFC fight time is two minutes and twenty-five seconds. Seven of his wins have come in under a minute.

That is not a stylistic tendency. It is a structural fact about how McKinney operates, and it frames the only analytical question that matters in this matchup: not who wins on points, but how the fight ends and when.

The complication, and the reason the model does not take a strong directional position here, is that the volatility cuts both ways. McKinney does not just finish people. He also gets finished, and when his early blitz does not land he gasses badly. Kyle Nelson has quietly rebuilt his UFC career with four wins in his last five fights. He is durable, patient, and experienced enough to absorb early pressure and let the fight come to him. If Nelson survives the opening exchange, the fight changes structurally in his favor.

The model leans McKinney on direction but the finish probability angle is where the real analytical interest lives on this fight. The round one market is strongly supported by McKinney’s historical data. The method market is interesting given his 53% submission rate in wins alongside his KO ability.

MICHAEL CHIESA vs. NIKO PRICE

Michael Chiesa is making his last professional walk to the Octagon in his home state of Washington, ending a 14-year UFC career that began when he won TUF Live as a shaggy kid from Spokane. The retirement narrative is the dominant story here and it is a genuine one.

Niko Price is a volatile, dangerous brawler who has been involved in some of the sport’s most chaotic fights. He is also stepping in on short notice, coming off a knockout loss, and carrying a 50% takedown defense rate against one of the most committed chain wrestlers in the welterweight division. Chiesa averages over three takedowns per 15 minutes and has built his entire UFC identity around suffocating opponents on the mat.

The analytical case is straightforward. Once this fight reaches the mat, which it almost certainly will given Price’s takedown defense numbers, Chiesa’s submission game should be the decisive factor. The retirement context adds an emotional layer but the structural read does not change because of it.

JULIAN EROSA vs. LERRYAN DOUGLAS

Lerryan Douglas arrives in the UFC on a five-fight knockout streak, most recently finishing Cam Teague in 36 seconds on the Contender Series to earn his contract. He is a calculated counter-striker with serious one-punch power built around a devastating left hook. His defensive grappling credentials are more substantial than his striking-first profile suggests — he is a Brazilian wrestling national champion and a BJJ black belt, carrying an 80% takedown defense rate.

Julian Erosa is in his third distinct UFC stint, having been cut and scratched his way back twice. He brings relentless volume and forward pressure to every fight, which is both his greatest asset and his most exploitable liability. He has been officially knocked out seven times in his professional career and fights with his hands low. Against a patient counter-puncher with Douglas’s power, that combination is a serious structural problem.

The model picks Douglas. The analytical case is clean. The odds make this a pass on signal terms but the direction is the most lopsided on the main card outside of Chiesa.

PRELIMS

Alexia Thainara vs. Bruna Brasil

This is a rematch six-plus years in the making. Brasil handed Thainara the only loss of her professional career via guillotine choke in the third round in November 2019. Thainara was a different fighter then. She is now 13-1 with an 11-fight win streak, ranked thirteenth in the strawweight division, and has submitted Molly McCann and decisioned Loma Lookboonmee in her UFC run. Eight of her 13 wins have come by submission — 62% of her victories end on the mat.

Brasil’s recent form tells a different story. She has alternated wins and losses in the UFC and looked tentative and low-volume under pressure in recent outings, including a loss to Ketlen Souza earlier this year. The physical and skill gap between these two fighters has widened significantly since 2019.

The model picks Thainara. The analytical case is among the clearest on the card, which makes the prohibited odds understandable. The revenge narrative is real but the analytical case would hold without it.

Navajo Stirling vs. Bruno Lopes

Stirling is 8-0 and represents one of the clearest analytical cases on the prelims. The City Kickboxing product out of Auckland is 6’4” with a 79-inch reach, technically precise, and high volume. His training environment alongside Adesanya and Carlos Ulberg under Eugene Bareman gives structural credibility to the level of his preparation.

Lopes was knocked out by Dustin Jacoby via a left jab at 1:50 of round one in his last fight. Jacoby stiffened him with a straight jab, Lopes’s legs went, and it was over against the fence. The chin vulnerability and flat-footed retreat in straight lines are confirmed on film. Stirling is precisely the kind of precise, accurate striker who can exploit both tendencies.

The model picks Stirling. The analytical path to a finish is real — Lopes makes a reckless forward charge, Stirling times the counter.

Chase Hooper vs. Lance Gibson Jr.

Hooper is fighting in his home state for the first time in his UFC career. The Enumclaw, Washington native brings three consecutive submission wins at lightweight into this fight and one of the most relentless ground games in the division. The UFC confirmed him as top five among active fighters in submission attempts per 15 minutes during his featherweight run, and his move to lightweight has only sharpened that identity.

Gibson Jr. was born in Seattle, adding a genuine regional derby dimension to the matchup. His UFC debut loss to King Green on short notice revealed two flags worth noting analytically: he was taken down by a fighter known primarily as a striker, and he looked tentative on the feet throughout. Against Hooper’s grappling on a full camp, those flags matter.

The model picks Hooper. The analytical path runs through the ground game, which is where Hooper’s advantage is most pronounced.

Gabriella Fernandes vs. Casey O’Neill

Fernandes is on a three-fight win streak and riding genuine momentum into this fight. Her counter-striking is technically sharp, her lateral movement gives opponents problems, and she has improved her takedown defense steadily. Across her win streak she has handled varied opposition — strikers, grapplers, volume fighters — without facing serious peril in any of those fights.

O’Neill is a dangerous grappler when healthy and active. The concern is that she has dealt with back-to-back lengthy layoffs for knee injuries and enters this fight with real questions around ring rust and physical conditioning. She is 1-2 in her last three bouts.

The model leans Fernandes. The trajectory of both fighters and the activity differential are the analytical foundation. The conviction level is measured given O’Neill’s genuine finishing ability when she is right physically.

Ignacio Bahamondes vs. Tofiq Musayev

Bahamondes brings real physical advantages — six inches of height, 6.5 inches of reach, and among the highest striking volumes on the card at 6.55 significant strikes per minute. The analytical flag worth noting is that he has landed zero takedowns in his UFC career, which means he cannot credibly mix levels and Musayev can focus entirely on the striking lane.

Musayev is 36, has limited UFC tape, and was submitted in his only UFC appearance. The power is real — his 81% career KO rate is not fiction — but the question of whether he is past his best is genuinely open.

The model picks Bahamondes. The physical and volume advantages at range are the foundation of the pick, held with appropriate uncertainty given how thin the tape is on Musayev at this level.

Marcin Tybura vs. Tyrell Fortune

Fortune is an athletic heavyweight making his UFC debut with genuine physical tools — a former Division II national wrestling champion with serious right-hand power. The analytical concern in his profile is that he has a tendency to force wrestling even when his striking advantage does not require it, and he has struggled when placed on his own back.

Tybura is a 40-year-old veteran grinder who was recently knocked out himself. The model leans Fortune. Thin sourcing on Fortune given his regional circuit background means this is held loosely.

Ricky Simon vs. Adrian Yanez

Simon brings chain wrestling and home crowd energy — he knocked out an opponent in this exact building last February. Yanez brings crisp high-volume boxing and an 81% takedown defense rate that looks strong until you examine the opposition. He has never faced a dedicated wrestler at this level. The last time he was matched with a true wrestler, on the regional circuit against Miles Johns, he was taken down and lost.

The analytical flag on Simon is his 18% takedown accuracy across his last six fights, which is low for a fighter whose game plan is built entirely around getting to the mat. If he cannot execute that game plan against Yanez’s boxing, the fight becomes harder for him.

The model leans Simon but the conviction level is low. This one is genuinely contested.
